The (Foundation)World Youth & Culture Foundation is dedicated to adhering to the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other relevant laws and regulations to ensure the protection of participants' personal information.

[Collection and Use of Personal Information]

- Collected Information: Name, Date of Birth, Email Address, Contact Information, Address, Name of Legal Guardian(for children under 14), Relationship to Applicant, and Contact Information.

- Purpose of Collection: To provide information regarding The 34th Eye Level Literary Awards, verify participant information, select winners, and facilitate post-award processes such as prize distribution.

- Retention Period: Personal information will be retained for one year from the conclusion of The 34th Eye Level Literary Awards.

[Delegation of Personal Information Processing]

To facilitate the effective processing of personal information, the (Foundation)World Youth & Culture Foundation may delegate data handling to third-party service providers As follows

- Provided Information: Name, Date of Birth, Email Address, Contact Information, Address, Name of Legal Guardian (for children under 14), Relationship to Applicant, and Contact Information.

- Purpose of Delegation: Verification of participant information, promotional activities, winner selection and prize distribution, and awards ceremony management.

- Entrusted Companies: (Foundation)Daekyo Culture Foundation, DaekyoCNS, Thinkgood

- Retention Period: The provided information will be retained for one year from the conclusion of The 34th Eye Level Literary Awards.

The (Foundation)World Youth & Culture Foundation will enter into contractual agreements to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including establishing the scope of personal information handling and implementing comprehensive measures to ensure its safe protection, thereby ensuring the thorough management of participants' valuable personal information.

[Procedures and Methods for Disposal of Personal Information]

Personal information will be promptly destroyed upon the completion of its intended purpose of collection and use. The procedures and methods for disposal by the (Foundation)World Youth & Culture Foundation are as follows.

(1) Procedure for Disposal

a. Information submitted for contest participation will be securely transferred to a separate database (or securely stored in a separate file cabinet for paper submissions) and retained for a specified period based on internal policies and applicable laws and regulations regarding information protection (refer to the Retention and Use Period), before being permanently destroyed.

b. Personal information will not be utilized for purposes other than those for which it is retained.

(2) Method of Disposal

a. Electronic files containing personal information will be permanently deleted using secure technical measures to prevent recovery or reproduction.

b. Paper documents containing personal information will be securely destroyed through shredding.

[Right to Refuse Consent and Consequences of Refusal]

- Applicants reserve the right to decline consent for the collection and use of their personal information. However, refusal to provide consent may result in ineligibility to submit entries for The 34th Eye Level Literary Awards.

※ For applicants aged 13 and under, consent for the collection, use, and provision of personal information must be obtained from a legal guardian. A separate consent form, duly signed by the legal guardian, must be submitted.


[Rights and Responsibilities Regarding Submitted Works]

- The copyright (both economic and moral rights) of all works submitted to the contest shall belong to the applicant and shall remain vested in the award recipients even after the announcement of winners.

- Award-winning works may be used online for a period of five years solely through means such as posting on social media platforms managed by the organizer.

- Award-winning works may be reproduced and transmitted for public interest purposes, and the organizer may process, modify, or supplement the winning works as derivative works upon obtaining separate usage permission through individual agreements with the respective award recipients.

- Non-winning entries will be disposed of within three months from the conclusion of the contest. However, if an applicant requests the return of their submission, it will be returned within one month, and any costs incurred for the return shall be borne by the applicant who requested it.

[Notice Before Applying]

- Taxes and fees associated with prizes are the responsibility of the awardees (based on each country's regulations).

- In the following cases, the award may be canceled, and the certificate and prize money will be retrieved:

① If the applicant's eligibility is found to be inconsistent with the facts

② If the work is found to be plagiarized or otherwise improper, or in violation of the contest guidelines of the Eye Level Literary Awards

③ If the work is modified from a poem included in a textbook, or has been written, revised, or edited by adults such as parents or teachers

④ If the work is created or modified using Artificial Intelligence (AI)
